EarthLab Core Team
The EarthLab core team is responsible for all EarthLab programs, operations and engagement, as well as supporting and amplifying our member organizations.
EarthLab Advisory Board of Deans
The EarthLab Advisory Board of Deans provides advice and ensures that EarthLab programs are aligned with UW priorities and connected to and engaged with initiatives across the University. The colleges/schools represented in the advisory board are constant, with new deans joining as they take on the role in their unit. There are two Advisory Board of Deans meetings per year – Fall quarter (October) and Spring quarter (April).
EarthLab Faculty Steering Committee
The Faculty Steering Committee is comprised of UW faculty who advise EarthLab on strategic priorities, programming, and other activities. They foster connections across and beyond UW as ambassadors for EarthLab, and together form a community of learning about new methods of connecting scholarship with society to address environmental challenges. Faculty serve up to two, three-year terms. The EarthLab Executive Director reviews the roster each summer and coordinates with the EarthLab Board of Deans to appoint new faculty members to the committee. There are two FSC meetings per year – Fall quarter (October) and Spring quarter (April).
EarthLab Advisory Council
The EarthLab Advisory Council is a body of volunteers from diverse professions and backgrounds outside of the UW that provides unique perspectives to help inform EarthLab strategy and programming. Council members advise the executive director in efforts to build and shape the new organization, introduce EarthLab to potential partners and collaborators, and raise awareness and financial support for EarthLab. Advisory Council members can serve up to three, three-year terms. The EarthLab Executive Director reviews the roster each summer and coordinates with the Advisory Council Chair to appoint new council members.
